Who We Are
We are Irelands Only Fully Sustainable Art, Craft & Design Centre Exclusively for Children. We are passionate about teaching children to think Imaginatively, Creatively and Responsibly. 90% of the materials we use are new, quality materials that have been saved from landfill. We teach children the importance of the 3 R's, Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle in a fun, engaging and exciting way. Children will also learn about biodiversity, saving energy and water, being responsible about litter, what they can do to protect our land and marine environment, and how to be a responsible and considerate citizen in our global community.
We have run many community projects that create awareness to the vast amount of quality materials that end up in landfill including Sallins Golden Bridge which happens every St Patricks Day. We run numerous Free Green Treasure Hunts throughout the Year. We also run many Free Green Awareness workshops for our community. We have created numerous giant sculptures inc. a giant swan made entirely from waste plastic titled Beauty and the Beast. We created a Giant Butterfly made from recycled tents titled Butterfly effect which is now situated in Barretstown Secret Garden. We have created many props and costumes from recycled materials for various community parades, festivals and groups etc We have had numerous exhibitions showcasing amazing works of art all created from waste materials, inc. "Dross Evolution" at Newbridge Silverware, "Think Kool" for Medtronic, "Stay with Me" for Inspire Gallery and many more. We have been honored to support many youth groups including "No Planet B", "The Struggle is Real" "The No Name Club" "Brownies and Lady Bugs Groups" etc We have been involved in many national projects including "Poetry Town" , "Cruinniu Na Nog" and "Culture Night". We are also very proud to have helped many students to get their Art Portfolio ready for College.
Our community has responded fantastically well to all our events and projects and we believe that the children who come to us are learning what a beautiful world we live in and how to keep it that way. We are all responsible to look after it.
